Text Box: ABOUT US

Vermont Food Allergy Organization (VTFAO), founded October 2005 is a support and educational 501(c)3 non-profit agency that provides a range of services for families, educators, camps, and others that care for children with food allergies. This organization is the only Vermont non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to issues surrounding food allergies.

VTFAO provides food allergy education with a focus on risk reduction and management and emergency preparations. They assist with Section 504 and Individual Health Plan development and offer free trainings and workshops on issues relating to life-threatening food allergies.

VTFAO offers lectures on occasion that are lead by Vermont medical specialists in areas of allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis as well as clinical psychologists that speak on topics of anxiety and depression in families that have children with life-threatening food allergies.

VTFAO is a charitable support and educational organization whom support services are at no cost and not based upon ones financial ability to pay for any support or assistance one is seeking.

For those interested in having us provide a free workshop for your particular facility on food allergy education (recognizing symptoms of a reaction and anaphylaxis and emergency treatment of a reaction), risk reduction and management plans, and creating facility-wide emergency plans and procedures, contact our office at (802) 985-5050.
